A multiplayer regatta, with a real helm

The project
For the European summer 2025 tour we built three digital attractions that travel together with the stand.
The first is a multiplayer regatta simulator: two side-by-side stations, a 3D environment in Unreal Engine with custom-modelled boats and race course, and two physical controls, a real helm and a winch, connected to the game through a controller we built on Arduino. Players register on iPads and, at the end of each race, the scoreboard on screen updates.
The second is the «occhialone»: a large pair of glasses mounted on the wall, where the lenses are two touch monitors. Each one is an information point for browsing the collection catalogue.
The third is the photobooth: graphics and flow updated for the tour, with photos printed on site or sent by email.
We installed and tested all the stations at the exhibition stand builder, personally supervised the first stop in Albania and then supported the entire tour remotely, from June to August, from Tirana to the Baltic via Budapest, Bratislava, Warsaw and Gdynia: launching each stop, updating vouchers, and intervening at weekends when needed. Tablets, data connection and printer travelled with the stand.
